If you are wondering what this stands for it stands for watch your testimony. (Corny I know LOL!) But it’s about to hit home just like it did for me. I was on my way to church when God was ministering this to me. It’s also a topic and lesson I’ve had to learn over my life as a Christian women. Everyday you have to watch your testimony. It’s not even just for yourself but you are a reflection of God. Everything you do or say is a reflection of who our Father in heaven is. Especially in the world when you call yourself a Christian, all eyes are on you. People will watch out on your mistakes. It’s a technique/scheme the devil likes to use to hurt you. Over the years I’ve heard people be like “that’s why I don’t call myself a Christian”. But it shouldn’t be like that, you shouldn’t not call yourself a Christian so it gives you an open door to sin/fail consistently. Calling yourself a Christian teaches people out in the world that we aren’t different from them. That’s why Jesus came to save us, we were once where they were. We all struggle the same, we all go through the same. Just because we have God doesn’t mean we are exempt from trials and tribulations. The only difference is that we have God and have realized that we can’t do life without him. He’s the fountain that keeps us going. Having him in our life helps us get through things better and teaches us to see our circumstances different. Just like we know they need the answer, we need it to. Calling yourself a Christian also keeps you in check. It’s not to say that you won’t fail. Of course you will because we are imperfect, if we were perfect Jesus wouldn’t have had to die on the cross to save us from our sins. That’s already been covered, anyways the point is to take care of your life. Just because we aren’t perfect and we know there’s mercy it doesn’t mean we should intentionally fail. God in his word states in Psalm 22:22 “I will praise you to all my brothers; I will stand up before the congregation and testify of the wonderful things you have done.” How can we do that if we don’t show through our actions how God has transformed, delivered, and healed us. If we keep acting like the world, how will we show God. God and the world don’t mix, God isn’t like this world. This world has changed and excluded God in so much. The devil has taken this world and corrupted it. Now people don’t even want to hear about God. People have twisted Gods morals/laws to their own convenience. People think that you can be in two waters, no! It’s either your in God or without God. God has given us free will to follow him or not. But if we follow God, we must follow his ways. Meaning we need to stop sinning and follow his commandments. God has given us a set of rules and things we need to lay down/give up in order to follow him. You can’t follow God and still be in sin. It’s true God does love the sinner but it doesn’t mean everyone is going to heaven. For example you can be a killer, but if you don’t repent from your ways you ain’t going with God. For example God loved Paul, even when he was Saul and he was killing Christian’s. You think God didn’t love him? Of course God loved him, that was his Creation. But do you think if he stayed as a killer of Christians he would have been made right before God? No. God states, “so whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin”. If someone who is killing knows it’s a sin and keeps doing it, that is wrong. Before Gods eyes he is unrighteous, unless he repents of his ways and stops. Which is what Paul did, he repented and gave up his old ways to follow God in spirit and in truth. He recognized that was a sinful way to live and that before God he wouldn’t be made right in him. So he gave up his old ways and decided to be a living testimony for God. He comprehended that following his sinful ways would not support who God is. In 1 John 3:6-10 God says, “No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him. Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous. Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s seed abides in him, and he cannot keep on sinning because he has been born of God. By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother”. This is clear, your fruits will show who you serve. That’s why when people tell me, “you don’t know peoples relationship with God”. I’m sorry but that’s not true, Again I have to quote Gods word because its the living word and the truth, By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit” Matthew 7:16-17. What you do in your intimacy time with God will reflect in every area of your life. It will show and reflect at church, work, school, the way you talk, etc. It’s part of who you are, it’s your testimony. If you do bad it will show, if you do good that will also show. But a follower of God doesn’t practice sin, it practices righteousness. You will know a person by what they do. Good and evil don’t mix, God is good therefore he can’t do evil. It’s not in Gods nature to do evil, that’s how you know someone is of God because they will only know or do what God does. I have to reiterate, the word says if a person practices evil they have not known, or seen God. Those born or baptized of God cannot continue to sin habitually because they know and are connected to God. Gods Holy Spirit is constantly cleansing and transforming you, you are a new creation each day. He helps you stop sinning and follow his commands.
