Choice
“Choice” what does that exactly mean..? Google tells us that a choice is an act of selecting or making a decision when faced with two or more possibilities. In life we always have two choices. Whether to choose good or evil. Another word that signifies a choice is free will. God gave us the free will to choose whatever path we want to take. Whether we choose to live life with God or without God. I’m not going to lie, sometimes it’s hard to choose the right thing. Sometimes our flesh is easier and pleasing to follow. But the thing is one way is eternal and the other leads to death. There have been times where I failed God, still sometimes I fail God and I hate myself for it. I would be so mad and not forgive myself. But I realize at the end of the day that it’s a choice. If I fail God, it’s okay I have to let God pick me up and keep going. Its about when you fail understanding what you did wrong, and choosing to do better. It’s not about staying in the same hole you put yourself in, you have to learn from your mistakes and move on… I once poured out my heart to a man of God and told him I don’t feel happy anymore. I don’t feel loving anymore and I don’t feel like me anymore. First off let me tell you that happens when you don’t connect yourself to God. John 4:14 tells us that “anyone who drinks the water I give will never be thirsty again. The water I give people will be like a spring flowing inside them. It will bring them eternal life.”” This means that whenever we connect to God, we will never look to the left or to the right. Why..? Because we are satisfied in him, and understand that he is enough to meet all our needs. We will look straight ahead and keep trying to draw ourselves closer and closer to him. He will bring wholeness, love, and endless joy. Most importantly we won’t feel empty and ugly inside. Back to what I was saying, after I told this man of God that, he said “than be happy! Be loving!”. He said everything in life is a choice, so choose to do better and be better! As someone who has sinned and failed God, i can tell you how awful it feels. Trust me if i could be face to face with you i would tell you, i g e t i t …. I would feel so depressed and be angry at myself. The truth is no one wants to fail in life, neither do we want to fail God. But it happens sometimes, the important part is when we fail him, that we learn from it. When God said he looks at the heart, he wasn’t kidding. God sees if you genuinely don’t want to fail him. I remember when i was younger and i would masturbate. After i finished committing that sin, i felt so dirty. I would be so mad and hate myself. I would cry and tell God i don’t want to do this, i know it doesn’t please you. I believe that first step to doing better is recognizing what you are doing wrong. Second is choosing to be better and give it to God. The thing is, you haven’t been able to conquer your situation because you’ve been doing it on your own. This is a sacrifice day to day, its about leaving it in Gods hands daily… Its by his strength, might, love and mercy that we will be able to conquer our circumstances. Once the devil knows that God has helped you heal, conquer, be strong in that situation/area, then he will find another way to attack you (so be ready and understand his schemes/tricks). The beautiful thing about God is that he knew we were going to fail him. Thats why he sent Jesus, whats even more crazy is that Jesus broke that veil! Jesus broke the veil that separated us from the Father. Back then they didn’t have it easy, they had to sacrifice animals to spend time with the Father. Now we are so privileged and we don’t take advantage of it. When we choose Jesus we are made a new creature everyday, our past is wiped away and the new comes. 2 corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” I love this because it means as we get closer to God, our old habits, our old ways are gone. It also clearly means you get a clean new slate. The new things that God has for you are waiting for you. When you choose to follow God, trust me his ways are challenging but wholesome. So trust me if you’ve failed God it’s okay. Just keep letting God bring the new to you, so he can transform you and bring heavenly things. When God said nothing can separate us from his love he literally meant nothinggggg…. Nothing you can ever do will ever be able to separate you from his love. But CHOOSE to be and do better!

Mistakes
You are not your mistakes. No matter what you tell yourself or other people tell you, you are not your mistakes! I believe there’s a difference between your true identity and being/acting like something. For example you can “be mean” but it doesn’t mean that’s actually who you are. It just means you are acting like someone you are not. I believe if we are an image of God, that means we are who he created us to be. But ever since mankind sinned, we’ve been born into sin, which is why it messes us up. Galatians 5:22-25 states, “But the fruit that the Spirit produces in a person’s life is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these kinds of things. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified their sinful self. They have given up their old selfish feelings and the evil things they wanted to do. We get our new life from the Spirit, so we should follow the Spirit.” That means there are certain things in life that were never meant to be a part of us. When we take on God’s spirit, we are filled with everything that God is. We are filled with fruits and beings that God has always called us to have and be. Everything in life is a spirit. That’s why you notice who you surround yourself with is who you will be. If you hang out with bad people, that’s who you’ll be. If you hang out with people who gossip that is what you will be, a gossiper. If you hang out with people who smoke, no matter how much you don’t like it. You will end up being and doing what they do. If you hang out with people who love the Lord, that is exactly who you will be; a lover of Christ. If you hang out with hardworking people who have goals for themselves, that’s what you will push yourself to do. It’s easy to attract certain things or to be things you surround yourself with. But at the end of the day it’s what you choose to do with your life. I don’t believe that God created us to be mean, angry, jealous, dumb, depressed, suicidal, claustrophobic, confused, arrogant, liars, lazy, impatient, selfish, etc. His character most definitely doesn’t fall into any of those categories. I feel like those traits are beings we experience once we enter this world because of sin. These are spirits that are thrown to us in this world but we can choose to receive them or not. Once you invite the Holy Spirit to intervene, he removes all the ugliness and sin we allowed to enter in our lives. I remember taking a sociology class and they would say people tend to act like what they are labeled to be as in society. If society tells them they are criminals they are going to continue to be like criminals. It doesn’t actually mean that’s who they are, but that’s what they are told. Most of these people don’t want to be what they are told to be. But they feel like they have to act like this character because It’s what is expected of them to be. Yes they were pushed to be like that, but at the end of the day they chose to be like that. That’s why it’s important to understand what you confess or say about another person. We need to stop trying to look to the world to identify us. They don’t know us, so why do we care what they think? They are just going to confuse us and not tell us who we really are. They look at our mistakes and flaws. They don’t define us with mercy, love and compassion. Our creator God; should be the ONLY one that’s able to define us, he created us period. God sees past our sins and mistakes. He sees the real us, I mean he only knitted us in our mothers womb for almost 9 months, I think he would know our true beings… If I am being a liar, it doesn’t actually mean I’m a liar. God doesn’t look at his children and say, “this one’s a liar”. No! He says we are honest, loved, wanted, and cared for. He doesn’t see us the way the world does. Another thing is when people don’t know who they actually are, they are going to look for other people’s approval. They are going to accept anything people tell them. They aren’t sure of themselves so of course they are going to try to find their answer on others. I know this because that used to be me. People would call me fat, ugly, dumb, etc. I would believe them because I didn’t know who I was. Now I know I am a daughter of God! You have to remove your mistakes from who God actually created you to be. You are not your mistakes because God didn’t say that’s who you are. That’s just something we decided to take on while we were away from God. There is always still a chance for us to get to know the real us by connecting ourselves with him. Once you get to know the Father, you get to know the real you… Everything in life is a choice. You choose what you want to be like. God designed us a certain way, but at the end of the day it’s what we choose to be. What I find so beautiful about God is that he doesn’t define us by our mistakes. In fact when we sin he created a way where we can have redemption. He knew we would sin, but wanted to create a way to always bring us back home if we somehow lost our way. You have a choice, free will… So who will you choose to be today..?

Introduction
To whom ever is reading I really do want you to know and understand you matter. For so long I believed that I was my mistakes. That I was other peoples mistakes, but we aren’t. Ever since we were in our mothers womb, God had great plans for us. You see God isn’t a God of confusion, neither is he a God that makes mistakes. He has purpose with every single thing ever created. Even trees have purpose, and you don’t think your life does? Trust me I know it’s easier said than done. But that’s why you have to connect yourself to the source daily. He will reveal to you, the very fact that you were created. The only way to truly understand how God feels for you is by connecting with him everyday, so that he can show you that. If you choose him he will help deliver you from the things you’ve adapted from this world, that were never mean’t to be a part of you. He will heal, transform and mold you to being who he always intended for you to be. That’s what he had to do in the beginning. Man sinned and ruined his plan, so what did God do? He created another way, which was Jesus. God always finds a way to bring us back home. I am here to tell you if I am loved, wanted, full of purpose and forgiven, than so are you. I say this because I don’t deserve anything God gives and has given me. But it’s his grace and love for us that truly saves. The truth that I’ve had to comprehend for so long is that God is enough. There have been so many times where people have failed me and it would hurt. Until I realized that I was putting my hope, trust and dependency on the wrong things/people. I was never created to depend on man because they are imperfect, ever-changing and are going to fail. If we were all perfect, God wouldn’t have had to send Jesus. God is perfect which is why he can’t and won’t ever fail you. He is the only one who can suffice your needs, he’s the answer to it all. The only one that can fill what no one can. This is so because he is not temporary, which is why he can’t give anything temporary; he fills completely. You know why you should depend on God, because he is the same yesterday, today and forever. Put your identity and dependency on the one that never changes. The way he feels about you today is the same always and forever. Thats why I choose to follow Jesus … When I’m not connected to God, I don’t feel like myself. I feel empty, confused, useless, lost and alone. I remember telling my friends, “how is it possible that I can be in a room full of a thousand people and still feel alone. But once I connect with God I don’t feel that way anymore, In fact I feel complete”. This means that I was always made to be connected with the one that created me. Someone who creates something knows its creation best because they created it. They know why they created it and what it’s meant to be used for. You can’t use a laptop as a cutting board rightttt? This is because the creator didn’t create it for that reason, it was created with specific intentions. Same goes with our very own life, thats why we need God because he’s our creator. He knows us best because he formed us. We were made to be connected to the one that gave us life, so he knows what we need. He’s the one who believed that we needed to be brought into existence in the world. Before anyone thought about us, he saw us first. He knows why he created us, our purpose and how he wanted us to be like. So remember that your identity shouldn’t be found in people but rather on the one who created your being. So if you’ve had some doubts lately to why you are here, its no accident its because you matter to God so much. He has great plans for you and most importantly he loves you. <—— Re-read that if you have to because its true.
