“His riches”

His riches and heavenly things are for those who are connected to him. God isn’t going to give you revelation if you aren’t connected or intimate with him. Gods not going to give you dreams if you aren’t asking him and speaking with him. For what? You can’t even understand when he speaks because you haven’t taken the time to get to know him. You don’t even know how he wants to speak to you . He’s not going to give you dreams and activate his gifts for you if you aren’t seeking him. If the way to them is by being intimate with him, knowing him, seeking him daily, how do you expect to receive it? You see gifts are irrevocable. God gives each and everyone of us gifts. But not all of them are activated because not everyone is connected to the wire that lights it up. For example how does a wired lamp light up? Through connecting to the outlet plug that lights it up. If God is our source to understand and do heavenly things we need to understand that there must be sacrifice. I can have the gift of dreams, but if I don’t have constant communion with him I won’t understand it. Everyone wants the title or gift but they don’t want to put in the work for it. I say that because i can relate to that. Sometimes we like the easy way in or out of things. I want the gift of healing, prophesy, dreams, etc but i don’t put in the sacrifice to attain it or be successful in it. We human beings don’t like to do so much work, we can be so lazy sometimes. God needs to know if once he gives it to you, that you wont forsake him. He needs to know that you aren’t using him only to get to his riches. I know we have chaotic lives, and i get that. But how come its easier for us to prioritize certain things that sometimes aren’t even important. Sometimes we allow unnecessary things to consume our time. In life we can make time for everythingggggg. I used to hear this saying all the time, ” you make time for whats important to you”. If God is your priority than you will make time for him, simple as that. You just need to ask yourself, “How important is God to me…?”. If you have time to watch netflix all day or for 3 hours, you can use half of that time to make room for God. God is so simple man and we just complicate our lives too much. He wants you to talk to him, seek him and revere him. He just wants you to acknowledge him every day of your life. He understands your life is hectic but he wants to do life with you. If you are at work and you are busy, take moments in between the hours to speak to him. The more you speak to him and listen to him, the easier it will be to connect with him. Everyone has there own relationship with God, create a connection that only you and God have. This is coming from someone who has struggled before to make time for God, still sometimes i do. But its about acknowledging the problem and doing better. I want to see God move in my life and church, but what am i doing for that? How am i making room for God to move in my life, because in order to do that i have to make room. I have to sacrifice certain things that i know are only a distraction for me to get to God. If i think that God is going to move while i’m still doing the very things that didn’t allow me to have a close relationship with him, i am absolutely wrong. Change your ways if you want a different outcome. Lets read this passage in Gods word…

Luke 10: 38-42

38 As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. 39 She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. 40 But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!” 41 “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, 42 but few things are needed—or indeed only one.[f] Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”

God is so simple… Sometimes we think God wants us to praise him by our standards. If we are making money, if we have the house already, if we have the best grades, if we are smart enough, if we have everything in order. But in fact he doesn’t care about that, of course he wants you to do good in life. But he’s more focused on whether you know him? If you fear him and understand that he is enough. He’s more focused on you being saved and knowing the truth. He’s more focused on if your words reflect your actions because after that everything will fall into place; he will help you get to that. Lets not skip stages in our lives, pleaseee. First we connect/seek God and than everything else will be added. In this passage he told Martha that she was focused on the wrong thing. Basically that she should be like Mary being at his feet, attentive and listening to him. Martha was focused on how she thought Jesus wanted to be praised. God is so simple that he just wants you to stay still and listen to him. You don’t need to do too much, just relax and be in his presence. Seeking him is pretty simple, we can’t hear or understand him in the chaos. Sometimes seeking him just looks like being on your floor, still and listening to him. Or reading the word in the park alone. Or worshipping him on your break time in your car. Or praying in between having customers at your job. Its simply being still to listen to him and talking to him. This weekend at my church God used one of the preachers to speak about “Hosting His Presence”. We want his presence to dwell and manifest in our lives. But we don’t do anything to make room for that. We don’t change our ways, God can’t dwell in an unclean house. I was saying before God is not going to dwell in a place where you are just filling yourself with garbage and not wanting to change. We need to purify ourselves and be transformed by the renewing of our mind DAILY. We need to cleanse ourselves with the blood of Christ, God needs to see more of Jesus through us and less of our sinful nature. I know that Martha was cleaning and preparing for Jesus, but her way was more religiously. She was more focused on having everything right/set that she forgot what was really important, making time to speak/listen to Jesus. Let’s not miss the mark with God because we are too busy feeding onto the distractions in our lives.

  1. Amen. This is so true.

It’s about finding our unique way to connect with God. & also I believe many of us have spiritual laziness which we need to be set free from by getting up to pray even if we don’t want to. By reading our bible even if we don’t want to because I believe God will build that passion to seek Him more.

I also believe that when we get to know God better we would just want the things He wants. We will want to be set apart and live a life of holiness trying to satisfy God with our actions etc.

But it simply starts with relationship. A simple beautiful relationship with God.
